Embedded

Embedded refers to the understanding that all life exists within and between connection, shaped through complex, recursive, and fractal-like processes across time.

In this sense, the embedded acknowledges both the knowing and the known of reality as inherently relational, systemic, dynamic, and thus interdependent. No being exists in isolation. Each Self emerges within wider physiological, psychological, relational, cultural, ecological, and intergenerational contexts that continually shape and are shaped by one another.

To be embedded is therefore to recognise that the Self is an embodied expression of the intergenerational interactions that came before, whilst also becoming part of the embodied configuration from which future intergenerational interactions will emerge. In this way, embeddedness speaks to the living continuity of Self within Other(s), within the World around us, and within the unfolding movement of life itself.
