Proclivity

Proclivity refers to a noticeable leaning or inclination toward a particular way of being, responding, or behaving within certain conditions.

It reflects the patterned tendency of the system to move more readily in one direction than another, often shaped by lived experience, repeated adaptation, and the meanings carried within the person across time. A proclivity may therefore be understood as a more recognisable expression of underlying organisation, revealing how the Self comes to sense, perceive, interpret, and respond in familiar ways within and between Self, Other(s), and the World around us.
