Propensity

Propensity refers to an inclination, predisposition, or inherent tendency within the system toward a particular way of being, responding, or organising under given conditions.

It reflects the patterned leaning of the Self toward certain movements of sensation, perception, interpretation, and response, often shaped by constitutional factors, lived experience, and contextual conditions across time. In this way, propensity speaks to the ways particular tendencies come to be carried within the person as part of their ongoing physiological, psychological, and relational organisation.
