Phenomenological

Phenomenological refers to the description of lived experience as it is subjectively felt, sensed, perceived, and known from within.

It is concerned with the immediate movement of experience before it becomes overly interpreted, explained, categorised, or reduced to abstract concepts. In this way, the phenomenological attends closely to how something is actually lived and encountered in the moment, through affective tone, relational connection, and contextual meaning.

A phenomenological orientation therefore seeks to remain close to the experience itself. It follows the inner texture, rhythm, and organisation of what is arising, asking how the Self comes to know, feel, and make sense of experience within and between Self, Other(s), and the World around us.

In this sense, the phenomenological supports a more compassionate, connected, and contextually coherent understanding of experience, allowing the living reality of the person to remain central.
