Faith is knowing nothing is certain but trusting anyway…
How to we learn to trust? What does it mean to have faith? Is faith only for story books?
It seems, sometimes, that we live in an epoch in time where control is in the forefront of all that is done.
The uncertainty of tomorrow, rather than being embraced in the knowledge that we are enough, is meet with fear and trepidation, this leading to the need to control.
The need to control the way interactions with others are portrayed and lived out; The need to communicate in a manner that is less and less about hearing and understanding and more and more about wants and desires; and sometimes the need to control can even take on the facade of compassion or care.
Yet, at the same time I know from my life experiences, that control is not what is truly needed.
Rather, it is perhaps true connection. Connection to self. Connection to other. Connection to our earth, to our universe, to something grander than ourselves.
Perhaps the uncertainty of yesterday, today, and tomorrow needs not control, but connection.
