You only lose what you cling to…

Clinging

I never really understood concepts like this until I left a life that wasn’t fitting well with my soul.

At the time I thought what I was clinging to was the “right thing”. That holding fast to embedded and imbued traditionalist values that I had been taught, yet that I had not had the courage to fully examine with my own true heart.

It took time, patience with myself, and hope in what I believed and why I believed it, however as I keep moving forward with what is right in my soul I know that the choices I made in strength have led me to a place where I no longer have to cling.

In my own place and pace I can be me who is in flow with the ever changing nature of this earth and The One who created it. I can continually be in a place of peace and calm knowing that in embodied gratitude my appreciation is received and known without needing anything in return.

Living without holding on doesn’t mean I forget, it doesn’t mean I don’t care, it doesn’t mean I don’t give or receive, because I do, and I do with the whole of me. To let go means that I can be who I am designed to be in ease and joy.
